HTM AHUs designed to suit specification restrictions

VES has a strong working relationship with both the Design team and Mechanical Contractor, working on a range of projects in education, universities and other commercial projects. Both the end-client and main contractor as well as Totus, wanted to utilise a supplier they had trust in, along with UK manufacturing and service support.

Challenge

The project timeline required the AHUs to be built and positioned in place prior to the roof and walls being completed at the new hospital building, so VES were required to closely liaise with Totus on timing the deliveries in line with the crane lift. 

This meant ensuring no delays and all sections of all three AHUs were successfully lifted and positioned on one day, allowing Totus and the main contractor to continue with other areas of the build knowing that the units were safely in position to be bolted together and tested once the building was weatherproofed fully.

Solution

Three no. bespoke MAX HTM air handling units that were designed to suit the strict height requirements of the plantroom, whilst also ensuring all aspects of HTM 03-01 compliance were met. 

Units were built to TB1, T1, D1 and L2 performance criteria whilst also being treated internally and externally for a severe coastal environment, due to the location of the hospital.
